Uncontested Divorce
The term “uncontested divorce” can have several meanings and is somewhat confusing and misleading. An uncontested divorce can occur when both parties agree on all issues including property divisions, alimony or spousal maintenance, child custody, parenting time and child support. The initial process for filing divorce is the same. After the divorce is filed and the other spouse is served with the documents, the parties must wait a statutory time period before filing a consent decree. Our Arizona divorce lawyer can assist you with your divorce and guide you through the process of filing a divorce and preparing the consent decree.
Another common use of the term uncontested divorce is when one party defaults or does not participate in the process even after they are served.
Our Scottsdale divorce attorneys at Bar Urness, PLC can assist you with preparation of the default paperwork and represent you at the default hearing.
